Sheldon is a seasoned Community Art Specialist with over two decades of experience. His colorful murals pepper the streets of Kingston, Jamaica and beyond. His work is a testament to the power of art to transform lives and bring a sense of unity to volatile communities and vulnerable spaces.
His murals often depict the unmistakable beauty of our island, the evolution of Jamaican music, and ground provisions as a remedy for good health and food security. His work conjures up feelings of nostalgia and inspires viewers to reflect on Jamaica’s rich cultural heritage.
Sheldon has a great passion for sharing his knowledge and skills with others. His objective is to inspire the next generation of artists and art enthusiasts. As a philanthropist, Sheldon’s role in Eye on Jamaica was destined. He has a deep and abiding love for children, as is evident in his interactions with them.
He uses the transformative power of art to bring joy, healing and hope to children placed in state care due to victimization, abandonment or the loss of parents. His legacy will undoubtedly be the difference he made in the lives of children with his infectious smile and laughter indelibly imprinted in their hearts.
