Who we are

Founded by Ronald Thomas in 2004, Eye on Jamaica is a relentless pursuit of vulnerable people — with an emphasis on children living in Children’s Homes and orphanages across the island.

We visit homes and places of safety in every parish — regardless of the dangers of volatile communities.

Our onsite Needs Analysis reveals gaps in facility maintenance, food security, education and staff support.
- 3We respond
Self Care, Play Therapy, Self Defense and Food Security programs — all free of charge to the children and caregivers we serve.
What we do
Programs that meet children where they are

Food Security
We cook, donate and advocate for nutritional food for Children's Homes and orphanages. Our Scratch Kitchen shares love on a plate.

Self Defense
Teaching girls and adolescents awareness and techniques to protect themselves from predators, human trafficking and violence — and to get home safely.

Massage Therapy
Improving circulation in children with disabilities, reducing anxiety in functional children and easing muscle pain in caregivers.

Beautification
Painting with rich, vibrant colours and enhancements to Children's Homes, orphanages, other vulnerable spaces and at-risk communities.

Empowerment
Trainings, workshops, networking, needs analysis, mentoring and consulting to improve socio-economic conditions in Jamaica.
